Write for us
Clear Culture Guide welcomes carefully framed contributions that help general readers understand how cultural meaning is made, shared and disputed. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a full article without an invitation.
What we welcome
We consider pitches about symbols, customs, language, creative work and belonging. A useful proposal starts from a specific object, phrase, practice or work and shows why looking closely at it can illuminate a wider question without claiming to speak for everyone.
A strong pitch
Tell us the working subject, the central question, the key point readers will take away and the context or sources you would use. Explain what is distinct about your approach, and flag any uncertainty or competing interpretations the piece should handle. Clear, focused proposals are easier to assess than broad themes.
Care and scope
Use respectful language, give cultural context and avoid treating communities as uniform or timeless. We do not seek unsupported claims, disguised promotion or writing that presents personal interpretation as settled fact. Please mention relevant interests that could affect how a proposed subject is presented.
How to propose
Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. A proposal is not an acceptance, and we may ask for changes to the angle or scope before considering a contribution.
Meaning is made between people.
Culture is not a fixed set of rules. It is something people inherit, adapt, question and share.
